Samsung Galaxy Grand 3 gets benchmarked; specs leak to reveal huge bump in camera sensors

Earlier this year, the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2was launched in India. Amazingly enough, it is just about 10 months later, and we are already talking about the Samsung Galaxy Grand 3. The SM-G7200, as the phone likes to be called by friends and family, recently had the chance to visit the GFX Benchmark site. And as usual when a new phone visits such a web page, someone starts squealing. Before you know it, we have some juicy rumored specs, hot off the press.

First, it appears that the Galaxy Grand 3 will feature a larger 5.5 inch screen, with resolution of 720 x 1280. That tops the 5.2 inch glass employed on the Galaxy Grand 2. Driving Miss Daisy is a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 CPU, with 1.5GB of RAM on board. The Adreno 306 GPU will crunch the graphics.

One of the biggest improvements with the new model, is with the cameras on the phone. The Galaxy Grand 2 offered an 8MP snapper on back, and a 1.9MP camera up front. To placate those professional selfie shooters out there, the front-facing camera on the Galaxy Grand 3 is now 5MP, with a 12/13MP camera on back. Android 4.4.4 should be pre-installed on the handset.

We expect to see the Samsung Galaxy Grand 3 launch in India, anytime before the end of this year.

Thanks for the tip!
