Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) vs OnePlus 3T vs Moto Z Play: size and specs comparison

6comments

Samsung today announced three brand new smartphones, all part of the Galaxy A (2017) series. The top-of-the-line model is, of course, the Galaxy A7 (2017), which sports a pretty big 5.7-inch 1080p display, and should be sold for around €500 in Europe - most likely, this means the handset will cost about $500 in the US (unlocked). At this price, the Galaxy A7 (2017) has some serious competition.

Two notable smartphones that will compete with the Galaxy A7 (2017) once this hits the market are the OnePlus 3T and Motorola Moto Z Play (or Moto Z Play Droid, if you're getting it from Verizon).

These two handsets are not as new as the A7 (2017), and they don't come with dust- and water-resistant designs, but they do have their advantages. For example, the OnePlus 3T is certainly the most powerful device among the three (thanks to its Snapdragon 821 processor and 6 GB of RAM), while the Moto Z Play lets you customize its look and add useful Moto Mods (at extra cost). Moreover, the new Galaxy A7 is shipping with Android 6 Marshmallow, while the OnePlus 3T is already receiving an official update to Android 7 Nougat, and the Moto Z Play will likely get it soon, too.
