Samsung Galaxy A (2018) series rumored to launch in these three colors

The rumor mill is spinning hard yet again, this time powered by the gossipy winds of Samsung's upcoming mid-range smartphones. The latest speculation about the next members of the Galaxy A series comes from reliable tipster Roland Quandt. In his usual fashion, he took to Twitter to declare that the Galaxy A8 (2018) will be available in three colors - Black, Gold, and Orchid Gray:

Needless to say, any unofficial information should be taken with a grain of salt, but what's interesting here is that we've seen these colors mentioned before. About a week ago, SamMobile reported that the next members of the Galaxy A lineup will launch in this exact trio of hues.

The black and gold color options are almost omnipresent in the world of smartphones and the Galaxy A3 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017), and Galaxy A7 (2017) are all available in these hues. However, Orchid Gray is a shade that currently only adorns Samsung's premium devices from 2017 - the Galaxy S8/S8+ and the Galaxy Note 8.

Numerous leaks have already revealed that the 2018 A series will be getting the all-screen displays of the high-end Samsung lineups from this year in addition to an updated naming scheme, so seeing a more flagship-like color option on these upper mid-rangers certainly makes sense.
