Samsung GALAXY Note II confirmed for Canadian launch
The Samsung GALAXY Note II will be making its way into Canada. This has been confirmed by Canadian carriers TELUS, WIND and Mobilicity. No word yet from Rogers or Bell, but those two are also expected to offer the 5.5 inch phablet. Even though a launch date or pricing information has not been revealed yet, TELUS has put up a landing page for the device on its online store, although the site wasn't working in the states.
The Samsung GALAXY Note II launch tour is rumored to be starting in Europe as we passed along last Friday. It will allegedly start this Thursday in Germany, hit Italy the next day and continue on October 1-2 in multiple regions (France, U.K., Netherlands). In the U.K., speculation is that the price for the device will be 546 GBP ($886 USD). The latest word we have on a U.S. launch of the device is a possible October 21st launch over AT&T. We do know that all four major U.S. carriers are getting the Samsung GALAXY Note II along with U.S. Cellular. The latter has already put up a pre-order page, offering the son of phablet for $299.99 with a 2-year contract.
If the speculation about a late October launch in the U.S. is true, we could see the Canadian release around that same time period. And while you're waiting, why not check out our hot off the press review of the Samsung GALAXY Note II by clicking on this link.
