Rumored deal has Best Buy giving you $100 for your trade toward an Apple iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c
Best Buy is apparently trying to make it less stressful on your wallet to buy the Apple iPhone 5s or the Apple iPhone 5c. A leaked internal document from the big box retailer shows that starting October 11th (tomorrow) and running through October 19th, you can get a minimum $100 Best Buy gift card which you can use to buy the Apple iPhone 5c with a two-year contract. That, of course, would essentially make the 16GB iPhone 5c free since that phone is already priced under $100 on contract. From October 13th through the 19th, a working smartphone can be traded in for a minimum $100 Best Buy gift card that can be applied toward the purchase of the Apple iPhone 5s with a two-year contract.

The condition of the trade is of utmost importance here. The phone you are giving up must be in working condition with out a cracked screen or water damage. You might be able to increase the value of your trade by including the original packaging and any accessories that came with the model. And keep in mind that this promotion cannot be used with the current one Best Buy is offering for the iPhone 5c which prices the mid-range model at $49 with a $50 Best Buy gift card.

If you have iPhone fever and an older smartphone you don't use, you can score a free Apple iPhone 5c or a heavily discounted Apple iPhone 5s from Best Buy by taking advantage of this trade-in offer. As we said, the deal expires October 19th so you don't want to wait until the last minute. You do, however, need to wait for the retailer to make this official.
