Poll results: Do you think the Nokia N1 Android tablet resembles Apple's iPad mini too much?
While Nokia won’t launch its N1 Android tablet this year (expecting to start selling it in early 2015), the company already revealed almost all there is to know about the device - including its specs, price, and design.

Last week, shortly after the N1 was officially announced, we ran a poll asking you what you were thinking about the slate’s physical appearance: does it resemble Apple’s iPad mini too much? We now have the poll’s results, and they’re not really surprising.

1453 voters (63.51%) are seeing the resemblance between the Nokia N1 and Apple iPad mini, but aren’t bothered by it. 518 voters (22.64%) say that the resemblance bothers them, while 317 voters (13.85%) don’t see any resemblance - though we’re not really sure how that’s possible.

Just like the Apple iPad mini 3, the Nokia N1 comes with a 7.9-inch, 1536 x 2048 pixels display, and a body that has almost the same dimensions. Nokia’s slate runs Android 5.0 Lollipop, and will cost only $249 - considerably less than the iPad mini 3. Do you plan to buy one?

A rounded rectangle. Apple should have gotten a public spanking instead of a "design" patent.

If it was a Samsung product everyone would have had problems with it.

logically speaking, since it is their first iteration of tablet and 1st comeback of nokia, tho i'm little biased here because i'm a true nokia fan. I'm not bothered at first, but they really need to redesign their product for their next tablet and if they will be making phones in 2016, they should really think of their own design, I give them a chance for this.

Oh please, most trusted brand in the world? & that's why people were not buying it huh! That's why microsoft had to buy it? I mean c'mon, Nokia died a long time ago, you are holding onto an idea

your logic is flawed you've only been on here for a day and you're already trolling explain to me how you only buy products because you "trust" the brand, please go ahead

You're the one with the flawed logic, explain to me first why the length of time someone has been a registered member of phone arena should be the determining factor for what they say?I'm right a you know it, I don't owe you an explanation, people buy brands that are conventional & trusted, that's why Samsung & Apple are selling the most units of smartphones #dealwithit

Samsung pads also have rounded corners and they are thin.

Apple don't have a patent for "thin" otherwise they would be have lawsuits against every model and anorexic person

There is no tablet to beat the iPad including the Surface.

Well yeah.. (though I consider surface in a different level). N1 is not supposed to be a iPad mini killer it just proves that Nokia still alive and gives hope to those who wanted Nokia products with Android OS in it.

No one could ever sue Nokia. Nokia is floating on a patents' sea. Apple is still paying patent loyalty fees to Nokia every year.
