Plenty of new features found on Firefox 1.1 beta for Maemo
In the last few weeks, we've been fortunate to see Opera Mini makes its way to the iPhone and the latest version of the SkyFire web browser for Android smartphones furthering its unique experience. Not to be outdone just yet, the Maemo powered Nokia N900 is not seeing the beta release of Firefox 1.1 that packs some new features to compliment its already existing status as being one usable web browser. Some of the major new features include portrait browsing, form auto-complete, context menu, volume key zoom, and the ability to save web pages as a PDF file. The long list of new features accompanying the beta release are truly impressive to say the least – especially the PDF feature which is something you generally don't see with other browsers. With a substantial focus on fine tuning, this beta release of Firefox 1.1 aims to engulf users with its rich desktop like web browsing experience – something that can easily hold its ground against some of the other big names out there.
