On Monday, we passed along to you news that the T-Mobile branded version of the Motorola Moto X had received an update that mostly revolved around improvements for the rear-facing camera. The update improves the quality of pictures taken, focuses on your subject faster while preventing unnecessary focusing, and quickens the time the phone takes to switch from the back to the front camera. In addition, a trio of bugs was fixed and a promotion giving T-Mobile Moto X users 50GB of free storage space for Google Drive was reiterated.
Just because T-Mobile customers were the first to receive the update, doesn't mean it won't be coming to other carriers as well. Motorola Mobility's VP for Product Management, Punit Soni, posted on his Google + account on Tuesday that the update should be "coming to other carriers soon," and even more exciting for Motorola Moto X owners is Soni's comment that the team is back at work, creating the next update.
This is what happens when you make Android devices and your corporate parent is Google.
The Motorola Moto X update received Monday by T-Mobile customers, will soon be released to other carriers
