Oppo R9s specs revealed on AnTuTu's benchmark site

The Oppo R9s is expected to be unveiled on October 19th. The phone has already been spotted in a television commercial in China, and the 16MP front-facing camera is the focus (no pun intended) of the ad. Today, we have some more information that confirms the specs of the handset. It comes from the AnTuTu site on Weibo.

While AnTuTu doesn't list a screen-size, we expect a 5.5-inch display for the phone, which will carry a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The Snapdragon 625 SoC drives the handset, containing an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 506 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside, along with 64GB of internal storage. A 16MP camera adorns the back of the phone, and a 16MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video chats. Android 6.0.1 is pre-installed. Keeping the lights on is a 3010mAh battery, which can be charged quickly thanks to Oppo's own Super VOOC system.

Oppo has been teasing the fact that the 16MP cameras on both the back and front of the R9s will be the first to employ Sony's IMX398 sensor. The aperture on both snappers will be f/1.7, which should make it easier to shoot photos and selfies under low-light conditions.

On October 19th, not only will the Oppo R9s be introduced, we also expect to see the Oppo R9s Plus announced. If these two handsets interest you, feel free to check in often for the latest leaks and rumors.
