OnePlus 6T teaser promotes phone's in-display fingerprint scanner
The OnePlus 6T is expected to be unveiled on October 17th, and one of the features that OnePlus fans have been excited to see is the in-display fingerprint scanner. Earlier this month, OnePlus confirmed that its upcoming new phone will have its biometric reader embedded in the display, and the company calls it Screen Unlock. OnePlus has come up with a tag line based on the Screen Unlock name, "Unlock the Future," which it uses on a quick five second teaser it tweeted this morning.

Leaked specs for the device include a 6.4-inch display (with a teardrop notch) carrying a resolution of 1080 x 2340 and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform will be under the hood and the unit will be equipped with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of native storage. There has been speculation that the OnePlus 6T will have a triple camera setup on back, including a time-of-flight 3D sensor. However, a render that we showed you yesterday created by tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) shows only a pair of lenses on the rear of the phone. The front-facing camera weighs in at 25MP, and two batteries adding up to 3700mAh keep the lights on. Android 9 Pie will be pre-installed with Oxygen OS 9 on top.

As we said, the OnePlus 6T is expected to be introduced on October 17th, which leaves plenty of time for more leaks and teasers to surface. The teaser posted by OnePlus today really doesn't reveal much, but you can check it out by clicking on the video below.
