OnePlus 5 and 5T finally getting Android 8.1 Oreo, here are all the changes
After using its beta channel to thoroughly test Android 8.1 Oreo for the OnePlus 5 and 5T, an official announcement went live earlier today that confirms the update is now being pushed out to everyone that owns either of the two smartphones.

It's worth noting that it took OnePlus just one month to make Android 8.1 Oreo available to OnePlus 5 and 5T owners. However, the company's mission was much simplified by the fact that both phones were already updated to Android 8.0 Oreo.

If you own the OnePlus 5 or 5T, you can expect some other improvements besides the usual Android 8.1 Oreo stuff, including a newer security patch. In fact, you can find the full changelog below:

System
  • Updated system to Android 8.1 Oreo
  • Updated Android security patch to 2018-04
  • Added full-screen gesture support( Only 5T)

Gaming mode
  • Added new optimizations in gaming mode including power saving and pausing adaptive brightness
  • Added network boost - network priority for gaming App in the foreground

Launcher
  • Added category tags in the search section of the app drawer
  • Auto name folders based on category

As OnePlus mentions, the update is incremental and it will take up to a few days to reach to everyone, so be patient if it's not available on your OnePlus 5/5T right away.

Because they are best value for getting flagship specs and software is almost like stock Android if not better. If you gonna say they are collecting data from their customers you should be aware that every company no matter where it's located collect data on you no matter what

i'm also curious about this myself, I was always interested in one plus but from what i saw about them not updating certain flagships i'm hesitant to ever invest in a phone of theirs
