Official specs for Samsung ATIV S Neo published by the manufacturer
Last month, we showed you a roadmap for Sprint that included a Windows Phone flavored handset from Samsung. The Samsung ATIV S Neo was listed on the road map as launching on August 16th. Meanwhile, as if to confirm that a launch of the device is near, the Korean OEM published a list of the phone's specs on its U.S. web site.

The Samsung ATIV S Neo will feature a 4.77 inch LCD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280.  The rest of the specs posted by Samsung include a dual-core 1.4GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and16GB of native storage. Originally, it was believed that the device would come with only 8GB of storage, but Samsung has listed a higher amount. A 64GB capacity microSD slot is available and the back and front facing cameras weigh in at 8MP and 1.9MP respectively. A 2000mAh battery keeps the power on.

One report has the phone being offered at $150 starting this Friday after a $50 mail-in rebate, and a signed two-year contract. If you're a Sprint customer looking for a new Windows Phone model, you might have something to shop for as soon as the end of this week.

I'm sure there will be more colors available but that blue and silver duo is ugly. And it does not match with the thing Nokia did right with WP is the color shells.

Why did you even try Samsung? You build a windows phone that can't compete with other windows phones based on design, specs, and features and put it on the number 3 carrier... Next you'll wanna ditch windows phone again and blame it on lackluster sales-not admitting that your laziness caused that.

This is actually a nice WP. About the biggest display out there (4.8") 720P resolution (best on WP currently), a fast dual core processor (no quad core support on WP yet) and a nice 8MP camera w/ 1080P video. Not sure what's about this phone can't compete, aside from the camera not being 41MP like the Nokia 1020.
