"OK Google" command coming back to Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge from any screen
Once again, saying "OK Google" from any screen will activate the Google Search app on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. First, you will have to install a software update being sent out by Google. While most thought that the disappearance of the feature was an intentional act by Samsung, it turned out that the problem was actually a turf war between Google Search and Samsung's own voice activated S Voice.

Today, a Community Manager on the Google Support Forum made the announcement that a fix is rolling out to users. However there will be some residual effects. Turning on the "OK Google" feature will limit the ability of S Voice to react to a hot word to activate that service. Of course, if you turn off the "OK Google" feature, you can then go back to using the S Voice hot word.

Google's fix will work for those who have Google Search version 4.5 or higher installed on their handset. Make sure that you are up to date, and when Google's update arrives and is installed, you will then be left with the decision of your life. Which will you choose, Google Search or S Voice?  The choice is entirely yours.
