Nokia's CNN exclusivity period over, app now available for all Windows Phone 7.5 users
Who doesn't recognize the voice of James Earl Jones when the actor says, "This is CNN," as if there was any doubt as to which cable network you are viewing. It's hard to believe that the all news network has been keeping us informed now for more than 32 years. During that time, CNN has spread out from beyond its niche as the all news channel on cable systems around the world, to include mobile apps that not only allow you to view the news, but also to report it.

Last February, Nokia announced that it would have a 90 day exclusivity period for the CNN app. That resulted in some rather angry non-Nokia Windows Phone users. Now that the 90 days have expired, the CNN Windows Phone app belongs to the entire Windows Phone community. For news junkies or those who just want to know what is going on in the neighborhood, the CNN app brings the latest information to you including video of newscasts and live CNN Radio.

The CNN app is now available for free from the Windows Phone Marketplace and requires users have Windows Phone 7.5.
