Nokia Lumia 930 pre-ordered handset released early by Norweigan carrier
Norwegian carrier Elkjøp started accepting pre-orders last week for the Nokia Lumia 930. The model, which comes pre-loaded with Windows Phone 8.1, isn't supposed to be released until July 10th. But at least two Elkjøp customers who pre-ordered the model, have already received them. The phone is priced at 4495 Norwegian Krone ($735 USD).

The Nokia Lumia 930 offers a 5 inch screen with resolution of 1080 x 1920 for a pixel density of 441ppi. Under the hood is a quad-core 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU with the Adreno 330 GPU. 2GB of RAM is on board and 32GB of native storage is included. If you need more memory, a 32GB capacity microSD slot is available. A 20MP PureView camera is on back with OIS. Gracing the front of the phone is a 1.2MP snapper. A 2420mAh battery keeps the lights on, and the handset supports Qi wireless charging.

One of the lucky early recipients of the phone, snapped a picture of his new pride and joy, which you can see below. The Nokia Lumia 930 is the first flagship model that comes with Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box.

32GB microSD slot? Will putting a 64GB microSD card work? All my Android devices work with 64GB no issue so I am think it should be likewise with WP.

No, the Lumia 930 doesn't have a microSD slot. And IF it did, it wouldn't max out at 32 GB. It would be 128 GB like the Lumia 1520. Also I love me some Nokia, but that price is outrageous. This should have been the first device in the US launched by all the major carriers. At around $550. Especially by Microsoft directly. Make this like a Nexus 5 offer, unlocked for multiple carriers, and people WILL buy it.

I really can't understand why did it take so long to release, entire hype has expired, everyone was amazed 3 month ago, but now? Android gained its piece of cake and L930 is just another phone with decent specs but no longer is tempting.

Exactly - I'm totally surprised by this story coz I thought this phone was already out there - it was announced AGES AGO! All that hype and marketing is meaningless now, just wasted money. We've had the new Motorolas, LG G3 and now Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini since this thing was announced. Do these guys think people will be so wowed by their product that they stop looking at other phones altogether???

The phone was ready since the announcement (after all, it's a re-branded Lumia Icon) .. But it's MS fault, not Nokia's, because WP 8.1 update wasn't ready, and the phone was not to be released with WP 8, so they had to wait till now to release it.

Until this comes out, it will be sporting august 2013 specs.

I wouldn't even call it decent specs with a 800 CPU when everyone else is going to the 805, and 2 GB of ram when others are going to at least 3 GB.

Yea..........but wp8 doesn't need 8 cores, or 4GB ram, to function properly, or scroll the home screen smooth LOLOLOL

Then can I ask why did they add Snapdragon 800 support, when they were okay with dual core?
