"Next is Now" says Samsung in new ad for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge

On the day that the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge both make their official retail launch, Samsung has released a new commercial called "Anticipation" that captures that moment when you take the lid off a Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 edge box, and see that shiny new handset looking back at you. The ad shows other moments of anticipation such as a ballerina off stage getting ready to perform in front of a crowd.

Remember that feeling you got when passing a note in school to a member of the opposite sex? Recall the butterflies in your stomach and the sweaty palms that afflicted your body just before you experienced a free fall on a theme park ride? The same building excitement and adrenaline rush takes over your body when you are about to pick up your new Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 edge for the first time, according to Samsung.

Now that the new handsets are sitting on store shelves awaiting your purchase, the ad will probably see rotation on prime time in major markets. But you can check it out right now by tapping on the video embedded at the top of the article.

Great ad. This definitely screams Apple when I watch this.

It was certainly modeled after an apple ad, thats for sure.

I guess their "making fun of the competition" style didn't work with the S5.

Doesn't have to, he was dead on.

Still has way better battery life than the iPhone 6. Charges to 100% in 60 minutes while the iPhone 6 takes about 2 hours and a half.

That's dumb. I'm married, and had an iPhone when we met. Don't comment on my posts with jackass statements. Real talk, fanboy posts don't interest me.

Wow, you really are daft, aren't ya ? It was a joke, Mr. Butthurt. Spent some time doing mental exercise (I recommend Sudoku & Kakuro) rather then a gym once in a while but I guess intelligent humour isn't your cup of tea. 'Don't comment on my posts with jackass statements.' - If you don't want someone to post on your comment then don't write on a public forum. I will reply to whomsoever and whatever I feel as long as I abide by rules. I suggest putting your 'posts' down in one of your little diary with Arnold Schwarzenegger's picture on it if your feelings get hurt by a reply. For a person who likes to dominate with his English rather than underlying argument on the internet, that was a pretty poorly constructed statement. Re-read your post. Have a nice day.

Well, i don't think so. Stylus pen = all good smartphone can do it, better if have a right app for that. Edge screen = gimmick. Amoled = well, IPS LCD is enough for seeing. But, if sam & sung could make a plastic smartphone ( curve & very thin - about 2 mm ) that can be bend like a bracelet, then, it is a truly innovation

Not sure why you mentioned a stylus, but if you are referring to the Note series, the stylus is much, much better than any conventional stylus and much more useful to boot. But, I digress. Samsung obviously won't make that leap forward all of a sudden like that. The technology just isn't there yet. It's phones like the S6 Edge and LG's Flex series that are moving these things forward, and even making them more acceptable and less outlandish to the world. You cannot expect them to come out with something like that without some sort of work on that technology, some sort of ongoing progression. So I would say that this is innovation, this is "what's next". It is the "next" step towards what you said. With every phone that implements new technology like this and makes it more widespread and acceptable, that dream of better flexible displays becomes ever closer.

"Amoled = well, IPS LCD is enough for seeing." IPS LCD = well, CRT TV is enough for seeing

And it will undoubtedly be a notable improvement over its predecessor, possibly even implementing new or advanced technologies. So what?

Dope commercial. I'm glad Samsung isn't focusing on attacking Apple in its ads, and is just focusing on the product. Whoever is running this marketing campaign is doing a great job. I'm not switching from my iPhone 6, but this phone is where its at. The Galaxy S6 is looking like the best phone out right now.

Don't forget that Apple is the one who started these bashing ads with the Mac vs Windows series. Countless clips of bashing Microsoft windows.

It's here in my country. Tomorrow my 6 plus is biting the bullet. It's been a nice 5 months Apple. I enjoyed your 5s - 6 plus. It's time to jump ship. I might return when the 6 plus s or 7 plus is out.
