New ad for the Samsung Galaxy S6/Galaxy S6 edge asks
If you thought that Samsung is finished promoting the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, better guess again. Samsung wants to continue to strike while the iron is hot, and at this point the iron is scorching. Today's ad, which is designed for television and runs 30 seconds, is all about the display as it asks, "What does color feel like?"

During the spot, we are told that the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge have the highest pixel density of any phone ever manufactured by Samsung. The combination of the 5.1-inch Super AMOLED glass and 1440 x 2560 resolution means that the phones each offer a pixel density of 577ppi. That tops the 515ppi pixel density of the 5.7-inch QHD screen on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

Don't be surprised if you see this ad, or some of the other ones that we have showed you for the two phones, during your prime time television viewing.

I'm still not overly convinced. If I wanted to go back to Sammy, I'd get the Note 4. At least it's somewhat worth owning even though it still suffers from TouchWiz lag.

You're not fooling anyone in here, you ve never owned a Samsung nor an Android product before, and you ve been caught red handed lying bunch of times. I am too lazy to bring up youtube links showing iPhones lagging, crashing, and freezing, but feel free to check it yourself.

You don't need to bring anything up, I work for a big organization and we have around 40% iPhones and around 60% Android devices (mostly Samsung). And I know how badly those iPhones lags and crash when you are only running like 2 apps on the background. Sammy has got so many haters over the last few years and they would probably have more in future. The reason they have so many haters is because Samsung is the only true tech company which is making and bringing all those concepts to reality. And if you are a true tech person you would love Samsung as a company and would need to give credits for their innovation. Some people brag about how touchwiz is laggy and blah blah blah (only when they don't find anything else to criticize about). TBH I have owned GS4 and rocking Note 4 for a while now and there is no lag whatsoever. Wake up guys and stop being butthurt and try to appreciate a true tech company.

Strong at stupidity my son.

The ad focused too much on the screen and the message isnt inspiring. Samsung can never match the marketing strategy of Apple. Their ads feel more inspiring if you're an average joe.

WTF?! Dude, how long did Apple focus commercial on the Retina Display. Notice they don't even talk about it because they cant brag anymore. In fact it ws stupid to pack so many pixels in such a small non-standard resolution vs they could have just made the phone bigger. So why can't Samsung focus on a feature that is top in the industry? Apple did the same thing. A 1440p display fitting in 5.1" of space is better than what IPS offered. I don have to squint and ruin my eyes. My wife has never worn glasses. I bought her a 3rd generation iPod Touch and it ruined her eyes from squinting to see everything on such a small display. THe S5, Note 4 and the S6's have the top display sold based on DisplayMate. Why shouldn't they hype it? Why shouldn't Samsung hype the design of the S6 Edge, Apple did it with the iPhone 4....right? Why shouldn't Samsung focus on the camera? Didn't Apple do it? Now that all those things are now great on Samsung devices and not Apple's device, Samsung cant advertise them? AT least Samsung is hyping something with substance and facts. Retina Display meant absolutely nothing. Steve Jibs knew he was lying when he fed the PPI BS. These are the strengths of their new product so they are using them to their advantage, like all companies in this category do. Stop being frikkin bigot and hypocrite. Its just like the Touch ID BS. The tech behind it is the same as it been since it first arrive 5 decades ago. All they did was make the sensor larger so it gets a full print without swiping. It like unlocking a door with a keyfob vs a key. The mechanism still work the same. Or how they tried to brand slide an unlock. Why can't anyone else do it. It doesn't have to be mine or your favorite

Although I'll never own one, the edge has grown on me, and is absolutely beautiful. Well done Samsung.

Buy what you want man. We wont judge. Anyway, I'd take the Note 4. It's just too beautiful :)

Honestly I wouldn't buy it, cuz I simply don't need one. Apple has the eco system I'm vested in, so I mainly stick with it. The only Samsung line I'd use is the Note line. I had the 2, 3, and briefly the 4. I just like what they did with the S6 aesthetics.

I owned the 5, and Note 2, the 5S, and Note 3, the 6+ and Note 4(briefly). Now just the 6+.

If Apple hadn't released the 6+ I guess you'd stick with the 5S+Note4 XD

Yeah, due to the Notes screen size I woulda kept it, along with a 5S. With the 6+ being as big as it is, it's really all the phone I need.

The Note 5 Edge is going to be similar to the S6 Edge only bigger and with a pen. Will you buy it?

I agree, it's so freakin pretty. Tried an international no carrier bloat one, and didn't find any lag the other fellows are talking about. Anyways, I don't think I'll buy one, kinda impractical for me because I have a Note 4

It is bro. I like my new Note 4 and the screen is big and the resolution. It's good for watching movies and I can use my OTG to connect and right away to movie and it's awesome. But I like more my iPhone 6 to do Selfie, Music, Facebook, WhatsApp, Vine, Twitter. Both phones are awesome because I owned it.

Why are people so worried about this phone? They act like there aren't other options available. If you don't like it don't buy it. No one is forcing the phone on you. Samsung hasn't enjoyed any good reception in my country for some years now. Thanks to the s6/edge things seem to be changing. At the mall both phones would out. I think people who don't have the nerves to switch ecosystems are just jealous of the device. If you are secretly admiring it and you have the money to afford buy it. You owe no explanation to any company. I enjoy the best tech I can afford irrespective of the company it's coming from.
