Verizon is expected to launch the Motorola DROID 2 Global as one of a few models to be released tomorrow. The handset will have the fastest processor in a smartphone at this time, a 1.2 GHz chip, under the hood. As a Global handset, the device will be able to make and receive calls from more than 200 countries.
Available in white or black, the Motorola DROID 2 Global will cost $199.99 after a $100 rebate and your signature on a two-year contract. As we reported, with the Droid 2 Global now available (well, in a few hours anyway), Big Red has dropped the price of the plain vanilla Motorola DROID 2 to a contract price of $149.99 after rebate.
