Motorola is preparing a range of Android One smartphones that consists of the One Pro/Zoom, an unnamed budget model, and the One Action. These three devices were expected to debut at IFA 2019 next month but the Chicago-based brand has just teased an earlier announcement that’ll focus on one of these devices.

Taking place in just two days’ time on August 16th, Motorola has once again selected Brazil for its big announcement. The latter is one of the company’s biggest markets and is where the Moto G7 and One Action also made their respective debuts.

Motorola hasn’t yet confirmed which device it’ll be showing off this Friday but the teaser video does tease the ability to “capture the action.” Moreover, it includes a quick glimpse of a smartphone with a vertical camera setup, therefore suggesting the device in question is the triple-cam Motorola One Action. This assumption is corroborated by tipster Roland Quandt who has posted one of the phone’s promotional images.

The Motorola One Action, for those of you that aren’t yet aware, looks set to be an improved version of the One Vision. It’s expected to inherit the latter’s 21:9 display, Exynos 9609, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage but introduce an updated camera setup (via WinFuture) that consists of 12-megapixel main camera, a dedicated 5-megapixel depth sensor, and an new 16-megapixel super-wide-angle ‘Action Cam’ which supports a 117º field of view.

It’s unclear at this stage when the Motorola One Action will be available but it’s expected to retail at €259 in Europe. If a launch takes place in the US, a price tag of $299 is likely.
