Mid-range Samsung Galaxy Gio headed for Bell
According to a leaked picture of a promotional display, up in Canada, Bell is adding a mid-range Android phone to its line up. The Samsung Galaxy Gio has a 3.2 inch touchscreen with resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. A 3MP camera (remember those) is on back and under the hood is an 800MHz processor. Despite the middle of the road specs, Android 2.3.3 will be loaded on to the device.

The Samsung Galaxy Gio will be available next month, aimed at those looking for their first smartphone or for the smartphone user on a budget. Speaking of money, there is nothing on the promo that suggests what the price tag will be on this device. Bell has been working on beefing up its lineup of high end Android devices including the Samsung Galaxy S II, which is coming soon as we reported. Bell also is offering its customers the HTC Sensation, so it is a good idea from a business point-of-view to have the low to mid-end covered as well.
