Microsoft will take your Apple iPad and give you a minimum $200 gift card
Unhappy with your Apple iPad? Microsoft will gladly take it off your hands and give you back a minimum $200 gift card that you can use toward the purchase of a Microsoft Surface or anything else in the Microsoft store. The deal has already started and runs through October 27th. While the offer is good in most Microsoft stores in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada, it is not valid online.

You have to love the way the marketing guys at Redmond worded the offer, saying that Microsoft will accept your gently used Apple iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPad 4. You might want to wait a few days because Microsoft is expected to introduce the next gen Microsoft Surface 2 on September 23rd. The next gen slate is expected to have an enhanced kickstand with two locked positions, and a Tegra 4 under the hood.  The 10.1 inch glass will now sport 1920 x 1080 resolution which you might know as FHD.

So if you feel like Microsoft has nailed it with its new ad campaign pitting Apple's tablet against the Microsoft Surface, take your iPad 2 through 4 and bring it with you to your local Microsoft store and see just how much Microsoft is willing to give you toward the purchase of a Surface or anything else on the shelves.
