Microsoft Launcher shapes up to be a huge success for the Redmond-based company. Even though it's still in beta, the app has more than 10 million downloads in the Google Play Store.

If you've been using the Android launcher, then you'll be happy to know the developers have just pushed out a new update that brings a host of new features and improvements.

First off, the Android app now supports apps grid layout up to a maximum of 12x12 and move apps/widget half grid. Also, with the last version of Microsoft Launcher, new users will be able to migrate their previous layout or even restore an old layout.

Microsoft also announced that it has decided to make some UI adjustments, which are supposed to improve app name text wrapping and prevent truncation and folder icon/shape edit. Furthermore, the dock should now support more than 5 apps, while the search bar is now placed at the bottom by default.

Another important addition to the Android app is the option to drag and drop apps in the launcher without having to enter edit mode. Finally, the update contains many crash and bug fixes, as well as some performance tuning to make the app faster and smoother.
