Lenovo IdeaTab S2109 is unveiled, 9.7 inches of Ice Cream Sandwich
After successfully passing through the FCC hurdles several weeks ago, the Lenovo IdeaTab S2109 has been unveiled officially by the Chinese manufacturer. What we are dealing with is an Ice Cream Sandwich tablet with a 9.7-inch display gracing its front. Interestingly, its screen is of the IPS LCD kind and has an aspect ratio of 4:3, which is exactly what we had on the iPad 2 and the first-gen iPad.

The Lenovo IdeaTab S2109 is 8.9 millimeters thick – quite acceptable by today's standards. Its unibody shell sports a "gunmetal finish", but whether its body is truly made out of metal is not quite clear, as Slash-Gear points out. There are four speakers present on the device, which will result in superior bass frequency reproduction, or at least that is what Lenovo claims. In terms of image capturing, there is no camera on the tablet's back, but an 1.3-megapixel camera for video chats is located right above its display. Other features that are listed include a microUSB port, microHDMI output, and a microSD card slot. The Lenovo IdeaTab S2109 should last for about 10 hours on a single charge.

And that is pretty much all we know for sure about the Lenovo IdeaTab S2109. What processor makes it run is something that we are not aware of yet, but some say that it is a dual-core chip made by TI. Pricing and availability are to be announced in the near future. In the meantime, feel free to check out this promotional video and tell us what you think in the comments below.
