LG confirms Android Wear 2.0 rollout for Watch R and Watch Urbane, the 2nd Gen will get it in May

Android Wear 2.0 has started rolling out to some LG Watch Urbane and Watch R users a couple of days ago, but we did not get any confirmation from the South Korean company.

Well, it looks like our initial report was 100% accurate, as LG has just announced that Android Wear 2.0 is now being pushed to the original Watch Urbane smartwatch and the Watch R.

Unfortunately, if you've expected the latest Watch Urbane 2nd Gen to get the same treatment, then you might have to lower those expectations. LG states that this particular smartwatch model won't be getting Android Wear 2.0 until early May.

If you're using the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Gen, you'll have to wait patiently for about three more weeks to enjoy the goodies Android Wear 2.0 promises to bring.

Once Android Wear 2.0 is ready for your smartwatch, expect to get new features like a dedicated Google Play Store, swipe keyboard, as well as many improvements to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
