LG VX8100 multimedia phone launched by Verizon

As it was expected, Verizon Wireless started shipping the VX8100 from LG. The successor of the VX8000 was introduced at the CTIA 2005 Live coverage show this year, as we reported. It is a clamshell form-factor device and features high-speed data transfer through both EV-DO and locally through Bluetooth. On its cover, VX8100 has 1.3-megapixel camera and music-dedicated buttons that control the media player, which can play music files from the miniSD card. All that features combined with the 262k color display make VX8100 a powerful multimedia phone.

Main specification:

  • Clamshell design
  • CDMA, EV-DO
  • 1.3-megapixel camera
  • 176x220 pixels, 262 k color display
  • Bluetooth
  • miniSD card for memory expansion
  • Media player with music-dedicated keys on the phone's cover; Stereo speakers for 3D Sound

Verizon Wireless offers the LG VX 8100 for $149.99 after $50 mail-in rebate with a two-year customer agreement.
