LG V40 ThinQ gets certified again, this time in South Korea
Confirming once again that the LG V40 ThinQ is indeed on its way, LG’s next flagship has just received its official certification in Korea. The news comes less than 24 hours after it was revealed that the smartphone had commenced its round of certifications ahead of its eventual unveiling.

Much like yesterday’s listing, the latest one doesn’t provide any details about the smartphone’s spec sheet. Instead, it simply reconfirms the LM-V409N model number and hints at a nearing release. Fortunately, thanks to multiple other leaks and reports, almost every last detail about LG’s next flagship smartphone is known.

Commencing with the exterior, the LG V40 ThinQ will follow in the footsteps of the G7 ThinQ that launched earlier this year by including a rather tall display complete with relatively thin bezels and a notch up top. This notch is home to an in-ear speaker, as is usually the case, and a new dual-camera setup up that should improve selfies significantly. While on the topic of the camera, the rear has also received a significant upgrade in the form of a third sensor. Much like LG’s previous smartphones, one main camera is expected to sit alongside a secondary sensor complete with wide-angle lens. But, in addition to this, the V40 ThinQ will also incorporate a third camera coupled with a telephoto lens. When it comes to the design of the back panel, the triple-camera layout will be positioned vertically and will sit above a circular fingerprint scanner. And, following in the footsteps of most 2018 smartphones, the rear material will be glass.

Moving on to the spec sheet, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 will unsurprisingly power the device alongside 6GB of RAM. This will then be coupled with the choice of either 64GB or 128GB of storage. Regardless of which option is chosen, though, microSD expansion should remain. Completing the setup will be a 3,300mAh battery and Android 9 Pie straight out of the box.

In regards to the smartphone's announcement and release, LG is presently expected to hold an event on Friday, November 16. Following this, sales will likely commence towards the beginning of November.
