The LG Escape is breaking out toward AT&T based on pictures taken of the device wearing the carrier's clothes. The LG P870 is said to have a 4.3 inch, qHD screen. Who would have ever thought we'd come to the day when a 4.3 inch screen was the sign of a mid-range device. Under the hood is a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and the camera on back is a 5MP shooter. Up front is a 1.3MP camera. NFC is supported and there is a 2150mAh battery that keeps the lights on. Despite the mid-range specs, the
LG Escape has the latest version of the Optimus UI running on top of Android 4.0.
While we do have a picture of the device and some of the specs, AT&T and LG have yet to officially take the wraps off the device which means no pricing information and no launch date. You might notice that the LG Escape gets some of its design cues from the
LG Optimus 4X HD, including the use of the three capacitive buttons under the screen.
