New report: LG G6 will indeed have a non-removable battery

Breaking away from past LG flagship smartphones, the upcoming LG G6 will seemingly pack a non-removable battery. Cnet has it from "a person familiar" with the matter that LG had to opt for a non-removable battery because the G6 is a water-resistant device. LG already suggested that the G6 would be water-resistant, and this recently leaked render lends credence to this assumption.

Cnet also reiterates what was reported earlier this week regarding the processor inside the LG G6: it's going to be a Snapdragon 821, not the newer Snapdragon 835.

Google Assistant and a 5.7-inch display (with an unusual 1440 by 2880 pixel resolution) are also among the new highlight features that the LG G6 is expected to come with.

The LG G6 will be officially announced next month, on February 26, at MWC 2017, and it's likely going to hit US shelves starting March. Who here is excited about LG's next flagship?

SD821, oh wel.. If they can lower the price and compensate with a bigger battery then I'll probably get one.

SD 821 with a big battery will still have pretty s**t battery life considering how unoptimized is it.

Lg ... Just wait one month and release your g6 with snapdragon 835 ..... You'll not gain market share with this philosophy....

D821 = FAIL; Not because its not competent. Bcoz the G6 will lose the 'flagship' grade by opting for last year's processor.

So, "personal familiar insider" is the new black now? from Forbes on Samsung and the SD835 Chipset to The Guardian on the S8 Infiniti display to The Verge on the LG G6's 'official leaked photo' to C'net on the Non-Removable Battery.. Get ready folkes, seems the media houses are now competing about how to take over jobs of serial leakers like onleaks and evleaks. I'm now expecting one from PA hopefully telling us how 'inside sources' briefed them on the new Apple secret plans to include a anodized pink color to the iPhone lineup. :D

G5 was an amazing phone so for me its not last chance. but if its come out with SD821 at flagship price i wont buy one full price for sure.

Make it $499 since it's sd 821 or i'll pass and get the s8 with 6.2in screen.

It's clear SD821 is cheaper. Maybe more money for 6 or 8gb RAM, bigger battery, faster better camera and a good IP grade. Or the price is realy good. Not all that bad. Or it will just like G5: Elevator goes DOWN.
