Is Verizon rolling out OS to the BlackBerry Tour 9630?
Over the weekend, we reported that Verizon BlackBerry Bold 9650 owners have begun to see an update roll out for OS, but it looks like another venerable BlackBerry smartphone is in the process of receiving the same treatment. Generally speaking, newer handsets receive the most attention as they are on the high priority list of most carriers, but for the long time BlackBerry Tour 9630 for Verizon, it's getting one special surprise in the form of an over-the-air update to bring it up to OS Despite flaunting the some times unpredictable trackball, it's being heard that Verizon will be pushing out the OTA upgrade later today starting at 6:00PM EST. Even though there is no official word listed on Verizon's web site regarding the matter, the support page for the BlackBerry Tour 9630 provides us some concrete evidence that it is indeed coming. Seeing that the Tour 9630 already received a update that enabled push-to-talk, the update will most likely focus on some bug fixes related to the notifications system – as seen with with the Bold 9650's update.

Maybe this update will fix the issue of an MMS file playing on its own after a customer recieves a text or call? That would be nice, i'm tired of downgrading Tours to the previously released version just to stop it!
