Huawei pulled exactly the same stunt this spring, releasing the P20 Lite on the hush-hush before its big brother P20 and Pro versions were officially unveiled at a grand event in Paris. This time around it's the Mate 20 Lite that is chillaxing for order on a Polish website already, revealing all the juicy details of Huawei's new design.

Yes, the Lite version has a notch this time around, and that's good since the listed 6.3" 1080p display would be a handful otherwise. Am octa-core 12nm Kirin 710 chipset runs the show, while the phone is equipped with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, plus a card slot for its expansion. A 20MP + 2MP dual camera kit with optically-stabilized main sensor adorns the back, while a 24MP + 2MP one serves its selfie purposes at the front. The secondary cams serve for depth and background perception, says the description, and scene recognition (aka AI) comes with both camera packages.

A very hearty 3750mAh battery with Huawei's record-breaking Super Fast Charge tech rounds up the pretty offer. The price? It can be yours for the equivalent of $435 in Europe if you pre-order now and comes with a Huawei smart scale as a bonus. Shipping starts next week, which tells us that the Mate 20 line is likely to be unveiled after the IFA expo this week, where Huawei is expected to preview the world's first 7nm mobile chipset, Kirin 980.
