Honor Note 10 could launch on August 30 as brand confirms IFA event
Alleged Honor Note 10 Rolls Royce Edition

With just over a month to go before the annual IFA event in Berlin, Germany, Huawei sub-brand Honor has confirmed that it will be holding a press conference on August 30, the same day as Sony.

The invite sent out confirms that the company will be launching a new product on the day which is likely to include the new GPU Turbo technology and advanced AI capabilities – these two features are teased by the phrase “Crazy fast, crazy smart.” Unfortunately, no hints as to which exact smartphone it will be are provided, although the Honor Note 10 seems to be the most likely option. After all, while the high number of recent leaks surrounding the Note 10 have perhaps suggested that an official announcement could happen within the next couple of weeks, the fact Honor is holding an event at IFA suggests the company has chosen to hold out a little bit more in a bid to capture the attention of a much more global audience, while also reaffirming its dedication to the European market by announcing the smartphone in the continent.

For those unaware, the Honor 10 is expected to ship with a huge 6.9-inch display, thus matching the display dimensions of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 which was announced recently. Unlike the latter offering, though, the Honor Note 10 will ship with the flagship Kirin 970 processor on the inside which should be coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Moreover, a huge 6,000mAh battery will be keeping the lights on and completing the package will be Android 8.1 Oreo alongside EMUI 8.1, although an eventual update to Android 9.0 P should be expected.

If the announcement of the Honor Note 10 does, in fact, take place on August 30, sales of the smartphone will likely commence within the first or second week of September. For now, though, it remains unclear how Huawei’s sub-brand will choose to price the device.
