HTC One (M8) Android 5.0 Lollipop update almost ready: coming in 1-2 weeks

The HTC One (M8) is finally about to start getting updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop. The Android 5 update for the HTC One (M8) is about to start rolling out in one to two weeks, according to developer LlabTooFeR, a person known for his great track record and insight on HTC.

Traditionally, massive update roll-outs like this one are carried out in batches, and we expect the same thing to happen with the One (M8). Earlier leaked images gave users a clue of what to expect - the Sense UI on top of Android remains largely unchanged, so the actual look of the interface will differ only slightly than the current one.

Luckily, Android 5.0 is not just about material design and looks - it brings some substantial changes to the inner workings of the system. Improved battery efficiency and other optimizations are the most notable ones. If you're rocking an HTC One (M8) as your daily driver, you can start checking for updates in about one to two weeks, and do not hesitate to share the good news when the update arrives.
