Google catalogs gets announced; brings digital catalogs to your tablet
Shopaholics, rejoice! Google has unveiled a nice treat for you that will make your habit of spending money even more enjoyable. Introducing Google catalogs – the service that lets you easily get and browse catalogs issued by a number of brands spanning over various categories, and all the goodness is delivered to you in a convenient, digital form.

What makes the Google catalogs experience better than simply flipping through the pages of a real catalog is the substantial dose of interactivity that it provides. By tapping on a photo, users can view detailed information about the item such as pricing, model availability and, of course, a map showing directions to the nearest outlets where the item can be purchased. Furthermore, Google catalogs lets you zoom in on photos, bookmark pages, and even compile your own collage of item pictures, which you can show off with in front of your buddies.

Google catalogs is available only in the form of an iPad app right now, but an Android version is also coming down the road. Feel free to check out the promotional video below, where the app gets taken for a spin.
