Google Edition ROM already available for GSM HTC One
It never takes the XDA Developers community too long, does it? HTC had implied that it might release an official ROM for current HTC One owners if they wanted to get on the Google Edition train. We have yet to hear anything more from HTC about those plans, but the XDA community has a Google Edition ROM ready for GSM HTC One users anyway.

The Google Edition software was pulled from the HTC One GE, and it has already been rooted, busyboxed, odexed, and repackaged with custom recovery support. It's not surprising that this is only compatible with the GSM HTC One, as the Google Edition is the same hardware.

Early reports say that everything works well, except for the data usage charts, which are apparently broken. Otherwise, the app works and gives you the clean Android and updated camera that you'd get with the Google Edition of the One.
