Galaxy A (2016) series launch, Snapdragon 820 at Geekbench and Lumia 850: weekly news roundup
It was a week foreshadowed by Samsung's Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 (2016) announcement, but that didn't prevent the industry from moving along with other interesting developments as well.
We got plenty of iPhone related rumors last week, too, both for the "regular" iPhone 7 and its several prototype versions which Apple is claimed to be playing around with in the labs. This would certainly explain the weird rumors about dual-camera or a waterproof iPhone, and other assorted speculation that pops up every now and then. In addition, there was an extra mention about the eventual 4" iPhone 7 mini version that would allegedly be built out of metal, and stuffed with well-balanced specs for a lower price.
Lastly, the Windows 10 Mobile world got a little richer this past week with the official Windows ROM that Xiaomi outed for its existing Mi 4 handset, as well as rumors about a purportedly upcoming Lumia 850 that may be the missing midranger in Microsoft's lineup. Take a peek at this and other developments you might have skipped last week, in the slideshow below.
