First batch of assembled Xiaomi Mi 6 units are ready to be shipped
This past Wednesday, the Xiaomi Mi 6 was officially unveiled. Now, the next date of importance for the handset and its fans is April 28th, which is when the flagship model will be launched. Already, registrations are soaring in advance of the first flash sale of the device. For example, on China's JD.com there have already been over 600,000 consumers planning on taking part in the first flash sale this coming Friday. By one estimation, there could be 2 million registrations for the handset across the many different Chinese platforms that are selling the phone.

With all of that demand, we assume that the assembly lines have been working non-stop churning out the Xiaomi Mi 6. A recent photo taken on April 21st shows some of the factory workers standing in front of boxes containing the first batch of assembled Mi 6 units getting ready to be shipped out to their new homes.

The Mi 6 features a 5.15-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The Snapdragon 835 SoC is under the hood with an octa-core 2.45GHz CPU and the Adreno 540 GPU. 6GB of RAM is inside with 64GB/128GB of native storage. Two 12MP snappers adorn the back of the device, and an 8MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video chats. The fingerprint scanner is embedded in the home button, and a 3350mAh battery is charged with keeping the lights on. The version of MIUI  based on Android 7.1.1 is pre-installed.

The Mi 6 is being offered in Black, White and Blue. The version with 64GB of storage is priced at the equivalent of $363 USD. The model with 128GB of internal storage will cost the equivalent of $421 USD, and the special edition employing a ceramic build carries a price equivalent to $436 USD.
