Smartphones have become more than just phones that have smart features, they are media consumption devices through-and-through. For some folks, there is just not enough real estate to do what we want to do, and that is why the tech world invented tablets.

Sometimes, even a 5-inch display is not enough. If media consumption with a dash of productivity is what you are looking for, Samsung’s new Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 definitely needs to be a contender for your consideration.

It really does not matter what the circumstance is as to why you may feel like you are boxed in, cramped, or stuck in the sand. Quite often, tablets are the type of device where you will find uses for them after you acquire one. The Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 aims to such an end by being equipped with enough different features to find a purpose.

The NotePRO 12.2 is a very good execution of being a jack-of-all-trades. It delivers solid performance, has outstanding battery life, and the 2560x1600 pixel display is just a joy to watch. The stylus is also well appointed to bring out the free-hand user in you. The Magazine UI is also a nice addition that brings some distinction to the Galaxy tablet line-up.

In the end, if you feel like you are trapped, or literally boxed in, Samsung may have the relief you are looking for.

lol. Can you tell me one advantage of Android over full Windows 8.1? And remember we're talking about PRO here so power efficiency etc. are not included.

You forget the distinction between smartphone app and windows program. Apps using a full array of sensors creating new feature that wasn't available in windows program. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kr.aboy.tools Windows programs strength is in established software such as adobe creative suite, Microsoft office and Autodesk 3D studio. Compare modern apps and windows programs are like comparing apples to orange. Both have their use. Android with its full array of sensors are more suited for certain task. While windows could be better for others. I will use them both. Both are economically viable.

Yeah but using those tools is inconvenient on a big 12 inch tablet... Tablets should never replace laptops. They are just so pathetic. Big smartphones. But yes I agree Android on smartphones has advantages over Windows. But Android on tablets doesn't.

They should have focused more on Multi-Window.

Drop the price by $400 and they will sell just fine.

It is already selling fine. Why r u so hurried for Samsung to overtake iPads soon? Let them over take slowly, painfully ( for apple)

Apps. If Samsung lowered the price on their larger tablets, it would provide some much needed oxygen to the Android tablet apps market. And I certainly wouldn't mind if there were more quality tablet apps that supported S-Pen and worked nicely on the excellent screen resolutions of Samsung's Note 10.1 and 12.2 tablets.

I say this all the time. Android has got the hardware. What's left is software and quality apps designed for specific screen sizes and resolutions. Android needs to be optimized more period. It has all the features we need and don't use. Now optimize the OS.

I would buy that in a heart beat. A surface pro with a 9.4 - 10.1 inch screen that has an i5 and is 9.1 mm thick. Unfortunately, the actually surface mini sounds like poo with no keyboard dock and running RT.
