Fashionistas get their own Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches from Guess

Guess is not a newcomer in the smartwatch industry, but its first Connect watch was more of a hybrid device rather than a true smartwatch. However, it looks like the American fashion brand has refined and expanded its small smartwatch lineup with a new product: Guess Connect.

The naming scheme must be confusing for fans of the brand, as Guess' previous smartwatch has the same name. Nevertheless, the new model is likely to come with significant improvements over the original Guess Connect.

First off, Guess Connect will be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear 2100 chip. The wearable device, aimed at fashionistas, is available in two variations: “Guess guy” and “Guess girl.”

The women's watch features a 41mm case, whereas the men's watch is slightly larger and features a 44mm case. The former also comes with clear crystals around the case in a variety of colors, including silver, gold, and rose gold. Both models run Android Wear 2.0 and support Android and iOS smartphones.

Although Guess did not provide too many details on price and availability, the fashion brand said its Connect smartwatches would offer many customization features. There will be more than 100 combinations of display face, color, and subdials available for customers to choose from.

Software-wise, the smartwatches will include support for Smart Reply, handwriting recognition, as well as a keyboard. They're expected to arrive as part of Guess' Fall/Winter 2017 collections.
