The Pixel 4 and its larger XL sibling are the most anticipated phones for the next month of October, and as their launch nears, we are getting more and more features and design shots revealed.

After posting what is possibly a preview version of the Pixel 4 XL, complete with the white-back-on-black-bands exterior that is arguably an acquired taste, and waxing poetic about the matte surface that is not entirely that, the folks over at Nextrift actually shot some camera samples.

Not only do they took pictures of the office park with the Pixel 4 XL, but also compared samples from the same vantage point done with the Galaxy S10+. Long story short, the sole 12MP sensor of the Pixel 4 XL captured more details and rendered the colors more accurately compared to the real-life scene in front of the lens, compared to the jolly warm saturation coming from the Galaxy.

In terms of dynamic range the phones are about on par, that's to say pretty good. This is most likely not the retail version with the finalized camera software, too, so we can't wait to see the leaps and bounds Google improved on the already excellent Pixel 3 camera with.
