Deal: Alcatel Idol 4S with Windows 10 drops to $225 on Amazon

Alcatel's last year Windows 10 smartphone is now available for a price that could convince many consumers to give the Idol 4S a chance. Introduced in the United States for around $400 outright, the Alcatel Idol 4S with Windows 10 is now available for purchase on Amazon for $225.

The last time Alcatel cut the price of the Idol 4S allowed customers to purchase it for as low as $272. After T-Mobile completely dropped the Windows 10 handset, Amazon continued to sell the unlocked version of Idol 4S.

Specs-wise, Alcatel's smartphone is a great device since it comes with a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with full HD (1080p) resolution and a 21-megapixel rear-facing camera. It's true that it packs an older Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor inside, along with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM, but for the price you pay, it doesn't really matter that much.

Moreover, the Idol 4S drains energy from a large 3,000 battery and features a no less impressive 8-megapixel camera on the front. The only real downside would be the fact that it runs Windows 10 Mobile operating system.

On the flip side, Alcatel Idol 4S ships with a free VR Goggles in the retail package. It's also worth noting that the smartphone will only work on GSM carriers.
