Costco says Samsung DROID Charge will not launch today; Walmart leaks its price
On Sunday, we showed you a photograph of a Samsung DROID Charge sitting on a shelf at Walmart, just waiting for the launch that could come as soon as today Wednesday. Now, a leaked photo confirms the discount retailer's plan to offer the phone and shows the price at $298.88 with a signed 2-year pact. That is a savings of $1.11 from the price that Verizon has announced it would sell the device for.

As we reported, signs pointed to a launch of Verizon's second LTE enabled phone sometime this week. Now, a leaked screenshot for internal use at Costco screams that the DROID Charge will NOT launch Nationwide on Tuesday, hinting at further problems. The Samsung DROID Charge was originally expected to launch on April 28th until Verizon's LTE network went out on that day. Some speculated that the handset's delay was related to the outage and that the phone would be offered once Big Red's pipelines came back up. Even though the carrier's 4G service was back up by the next day, the DROID Charge has remained on store shelves, collecting dust. Now it seems we have a new delay and Costco says it will provide another update Tuesday on what is turning out to be an interesting story in light of the already canceled Motorola Etna (aka DROID Bionic) on Verizon.
