BlackBerry PlayBook expected to be released in March
We've all been eager to get our hands on the new BlackBerry PlayBook tablet from RIM. The UI is supposed to pave the way for all other BlackBerry devices, and it may well spell an upswing for the waning smartphone manufacturer.

While we've heard reports about a Q1 2011 launch, we can now surmise that the PlayBook will probably be released in March. That information comes from some inferences made from their Q3 investor conference call.

In the conference call, a RIM spokesperson said that "There are no PlayBook revenues included in our Q4 guidance, and we expect the first revenue impact from PlayBook will be in RIM's first quarter." When they speak of the "first quarter," they're referring to Q1 of their financial year, which starts after March. The spokesperson went on to reassure investors that the PlayBook would still launch within Q1 of the calendar year.

If we combine those statements, it looks like a release towards the end of March. Are we inferring too much? Sorry. We can't help but be excited about a dual-core breath of fresh air from RIM.
