As we reported, retailer Best Buy Mobile will be giving away an Apple iPhone 3G (8GB model) to those starting a new 2 year AT&T contract or extending a current AT&T contract for 2 years with a valid upgrade. Only one free phone is allowed per customer. The free Apple iPhone 3GS will be available today only.
According to a leaked document, the RIM BlackBerry Torch 9800 will also be given away for free by Best Buy Mobile starting today, and all colors of the model will be given away. To qualify for the free handset, you must sign a new 2 year AT&T contract or have a valid upgrade. Unlike the iPhone, the offer for the Torch will run throughout the rest of this month. And starting this Sunday, December 12th, and running until the end of the year, the T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve 9300 will also be free with a 2 year contract or a valid upgrade.
'Tis the season for big deals on smartphones and Best Buy Mobile is taking prices on these three models as low as you can go. Radio Shack has also been offering discounts, including one as we informed you, on the Apple iPhone 4. Somehow we get the feeling that when it comes to saving money on handsets in December, we are nowhere near the end of the announcements.
