BREW powered Pantech Pursuit II is is set to arrive on AT&T July 17th for $50
Considering that Pantech recently moved into the smartphone category by releasing the Crossover not too long ago, it’s actually not all too surprising to see them still focusing their attention in the feature phone market.

With that, AT&T officially announced today that they’re set to deliver the messaging oriented Pantech Pursuit II starting July 17 for the 2-year contract price of $49.99 after rebates. The successor to the original Pantech Pursuit from last year, this model is powered by Qualcomm’s BREW MP platform – something that’s naturally not as complicated as today’s modern smartphone platforms. Furthermore, it features a 2.8” QVGA touchscreen, vertical sliding QWERTY keyboard, 2-megapixel camera, microSD card slot, AT&T Navigation, 3G connectivity, and a variety of social networking apps.

Considering that there are a handful of decent entry-level smartphones out there, its pricing undoubtedly will be something to think about for potential customers – but we’re confident to see this one priced for free with the usual crew of online retailers.
