Apple iPhone 4S pre-orders break the 1 million barrier on day 1
Apple iPhone 4S pre-orders have just broken another record - 1 million units in a single day, Apple said. The iPhone 4S has trumped the previous record holder, the iPhone 4, which sold in 600,000 units in a day.

“We are blown away with the incredible customer response to iPhone 4S,” Phil Schiller, senior VP of Product Marketing, said. “The first day pre-orders for iPhone 4S have been the most for any new product that Apple has ever launched and we are thrilled that customers love iPhone 4S as much as we do.”

Now, we’d be the first ones to admit that the iPhone 4S didn’t live up to the pumped up expectations and rumors, not lastly based on what you, our users, said. Nonetheless, the 4S is a great phone, which falls in a successful legacy, an investment nearly as secure as Treasure Bills in the world of mobile phones.

One of the best selling Android phones, the Samsung Galaxy S II, registered 10 million units sold in five months, an impressive figure which nonetheless pales in comparison.
