Angry Birds Friends comes to Android and iOS on Thursday, join with friends to hold tournaments

With over 60 million players battling against each other in weekly tournaments on Facebook, the time has come to move the social version of Angry Birds to mobile platforms. A tweet from game developer Rovio says that is exactly what is going to happen on Thursday when the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store each start offering Angry Birds Friends to their respective platforms.

Unlike the regular version of the game in which one player is battling his own high score and tries to run up enough points to get to the next level, with Angry Birds Friends, you are battling other people in weekly tournaments where medals are awarded to winning players. Pricing is an unknown at this point, but with the game going mobile on May 2nd, all of the answers to your questions will be out on Thursday.
