Android users finally on the Cinemagram route
We first heard that Cinemagram was coming to Android exactly one year ago, and the app has finally made the leap to the Android platform. Cinemagram is an app that will allow you to make a cinemagraph, which at its base is just an animated GIF, but to reuse our description from last time, "GIFs are for slapstick comedy, cinemagraphs are for drama and emotion."

Cinemagraphs aim to be more subtle and artful than GIFs, of course, there's no guarantee that aim will be met by the average mobile user. Cinemagram works by having your record a 4 second video, then turning it into a GIF. The app has extra controls, tools, and video filters, so you can change the look, and give your videos a real film feel.

And, as you would expect, the app also has all of the social features you may want, including following friends, comments, likes, reshares, direct messages, sharing to Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr, as well as ways to explore posts by category or keyword.

If you want to give Cinemagram a try, it is now available for free in the Google Play Store.
