Gorgeous endless runner Alto's Odyssey lands on Android on July 26 and it's free
Great news if you're using an Android smartphone and you're into endless runner games, as developer Snowman has just announced their game, Alto's Odyssey will be released in the Google Play Store no later than next week.

The iOS version of Alto's Odyssey is already available for purchase for $5, but Android players won't have to pay anything for the game. It appears that the developers have decided that Alto's Odyssey should be free to everyone using an Android device because attaining App Store-level sales numbers on Google Play with a paid game is quite difficult (if not impossible).

So, Alto's Odyssey will embrace the freemium model with ad support when it comes to Android. Meanwhile, the iOS version of the game has already picked up an Apple Design Award since its release back in February.

If you're just excited as we are, you can even pre-register on Google Play Store to be notified when Alto's Odyssey is available for download. But we'll let you know anyway.

Well, the first version was free on Android as well. I own it on Android and iOS. The Android version is superior because you can watch ads if you want a little boost or don't watch it and get the same experience as an iOS version. It's a bit odd, that free version is better than the one you paid for.

Why would I pay for a single-player game that also have IAP inside it. The first version on android also have $5 IAP for removing ads (so it's exactly like iOS paid version), but that's not the only IAP you can find there, they also sell coin doubler, hat, wall decoration, and even T-shirt inside this game (the latter three is real life item, lol)
