Alleged photos and specs of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 leak
A couple of days ago, we told you that the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 is in the process of being developed by the manufacturer. But with the original generation timepiece only four months old, Sammy will most likely continue to work on it for a while before introducing the sequel to the public. Today, SamMobile (which broke the original story) posted alleged images of the watch that it received from a source. While it has essentially the same design as the original, there are some changes.

For example, on the right side of the watch you will find that the power/home button is now round with a red circle around it, and the back button is shaped like a rectangle. On the other side of the case are the speaker grilles and the microphone, and the back of the device (where the heart rate monitor resides) has a fresh new look. As expected, there is no rotating bezel.

According to the source, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 will be available in two different variants, one using Wi-Fi only for connectivity. The other model will connect to a 4G LTE network. The latter carries a 340mAh battery while the power source for the Wi-Fi version weighs in at 237mAh. The device is said to be equipped with 1.5GB of memory and 4GB of storage. Version 1.5 of the One UI interface will be on the timepiece while current models are running on version 1.0, so we could see some added functionality on the Galaxy Watch Active 2. The case sizes will be 40mm and 44mm.

Once again, the Tizen operating system is expected to drive the timepiece and the color options for the new wearable will be silver, black and gold. As we get closer to the unveiling of the Galaxy Watch Active 2, we're sure to find out some more information about the watch. For now, you can check out the alleged images of the device in the slideshow.
