Alcatel Idol 4S with Windows coming to Europe in Q2 2017

The Idol 4S is possibly the last of the mohicans, one of the not so many Windows Phone handsets that are still available for purchase in the United States. T-Mobile picked the Idol 4S back in November, but it's now available unlocked for those who still want to try out a Windows Phone device.

However, it looks like Alcatel plans to bring the Idol 4S in Europe as well, although that won't happen until the second quarter of the year. Alcatel recently confirmed that France, Czech Republic and Slovakia will be among the first countries in Europe to get it.

The Windows 10 Mobile version of the Alcatel Idol 4S features a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with full HD (1080p) resolution and comes bundled with VR Goggles in the sales box.

The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable memory (up to 256GB). It also packs a 21-megapixel rear-facing camera with PDAF (phase detection autofocus), dual-LED flash and 4K video recording.

While there's no word on the price yet, it's worth noting the Alcatel Idol 4S with Android sells in many European countries for €385, so the Windows Phone model might cost around the same amount.
